Uzm.Dr. Umut Yarıcı

He was born in 1990 in Samsun.

He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Bursa.

He graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2014.

Between 2015 and 2019, he completed his specialist training in Psychiatry at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. His specialist thesis focused on “Factors Affecting Telomere Length in Bipolar Disorder”.

Following his specialty training, he fulfilled his compulsory service at Düzce State Hospital.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr Cem Kaptanoğlu, he completed the “Supportive Psychodynamic Psychotherapy” training of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey.

He became a certified sexual therapist after graduating from the Sexual Education, Treatment and Research Association (CETAD) Sexual Therapy Programme, the leading organisation in the field in Türkiye.

He also received Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) training organised by the İCTED Association, completed the Sports and Performance Psychology training of Bahçeşehir University, participated in the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy training of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science and Psychotherapies, and completed both the theoretical and skills training programmes of the Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapies Association.

He is married and has one child.

He has been working at Lokman Hekim Esnaf Hospital since September 2021.
